SUMMARY

Mr. Robert Rotich teaches Literature at the Department of Literature, Languages, and Linguistics. He recently completed his PhD in Literature at Egerton University. His thesis, titled "The Voicing of Ethical Ambiguities by the Self in Post-Apartheid South African Literature", interrogates the representation of ethical ambiguities through first-person narrative accounts in selected post-apartheid fiction, amplifying how the point of view as a narrative strategy holds the key to the understanding of the uncertainties facing the post-apartheid nation. He also holds an MA in Literature from Egerton University and a Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree from Maseno University. His primary interests include ethics in narrative, trauma studies, gender and masculinity studies, film and new media technologies, creative writing, and Oral Literature.
