SUMMARY

 

Dr. Esther Kimosop has thirteen (13 years) of experience as a lecturer at Egerton University from the year 2013 to date. She teaches a number of Curriculum Courses with a bias towards Religious Education Approaches and Methodologies.

Dr. Esther Kimosop has successfully supervised five (5) Masters students to completion, two (2) from Egerton University and three (3) from Kisii University, currently supervising a number of masters students (ongoing) and one (1) ongoing P.hD student from Egerton University.

Dr. Esther Kimosop has published four (4) publications in refereed journals, co-authored four (4) publications and two (2) publications and one (1) book chapter are currently being reviewed to be published soon before the end of the year 2026.

Dr. Esther Kimosop participates actively as an internal examiner for Masters and Doctoral Thesis examinations at Departmental and Faculty Level.

Dr. Esther Kimosop main research interests are Religious Education CBE Pedagogy, Ethical and Moral Applications of Religious Education content and integration of new approaches of teaching with a focus on CBE.

Dr. Esther Kimosop has also participated in Curriculum Review Process for B.ed (Arts) Programme and its Self -Assessment. This led to the approval of the programme by the Commission of University Education.

Dr. Esther Kimosop participated in writing a E-Learning Module (General Methods and Principles of Teaching) for Egerton University.

Dr. Esther Kimosop is a member of Educational Management Society of Kenya (EMSK 390).

Dr. Esther Kimosop is involved in community leadership as a member of Board of Management (BOM) of three schools since 2022, and a member and secretary of a women group.

Dr. Esther Kimosop has a wide experience as a student academic advisor on issues that touches on students' wellbeing such as academics, social and emotional needs, having been a class coordinator for three class cohorts for B.Ed (ARTS); 2012 , 2017 and 2022 to date.
